Riverwalk Surgery Center opened in 1997 to provide outpatient orthopedic surgery, pain management and anesthesia services. Procedures performed are deemed appropriate and approved by the Governing Body. Licensed by the State of Florida and certified by Medicare, the facility accepts payment from Medicare and Medicaid, as well as private carriers and contracts with managed care organizations.
The Center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). The staff of Riverwalk Surgery Center, Inc. recognizes Universal Moral Principals and the Principles of Professional Ethics as elaborated in the ANA “Standards of Perioperative Clinical Practice” and the “Standards of Perioperative Professional Performance”. Both the Medical and Professional Staff also follow the state’s practice acts Ethical Standards as guidelines in our practice and efforts to provide high-quality care initiatives.
Patient population is limited to 12 years of age and older with high utilization by geriatric patients. The majority of patients reside in the Lee County area or are here on a seasonal basis.
